Diving-School: Tofo Scuba

Tofo Scuba is a PADI 5 Star Dive Centre and we’ve been diving Tofo since 2003.

Tofo is one of the best diving destinations in the world and the diving is spectacular. With an incredible variety and abundance of sea life, divers will not be short of memorable experiences.
Tofo Scuba offers PADI courses from Discover Scuba Diving right up to Divemaster. In addition to diving, we offer the Ocean Safari. This is 2- hour boat ride to search for Whale Sharks, Giant Mantas, Dolphins and Turtles. If we are lucky enough to see any of these amazing animals, we’ll get in and snorkel with them. Between mid-July and mid-September, there is a very strong chance you will get up close to Humpback Whales as they migrate with their calves.
We also lead snorkelling trips in the estuary about 7km from the dive centre where you can see scores of seahorses, juvenile frogfish and lionfish, octopus and much more. It’s a macro lovers heaven!
With regards to equipment and safety: we have an outstanding safety record. We dive in small groups with at least 2 members of staff on the dive. Dives are led by an experienced Instructor. We give all our divers SMBs and all our boats are equipped with Life Jackets, Emergency Oxygen. All our Instructors are EFR Instructors also.
We have an on-site bar and restaurant serving amazing food and drinks from early morning right through into the evening.
If you are staying with our partner lodge, Tilak Lodge, please ask for the Stay and Dive Packages as you will get additional discounts from both parties on your package.

We look forward to having you diving with us!

Amazing Experience

15.08.2019 by Leon report

I've had an awesome time completing my DMT at Tofo Scuba for three months. The shop is located right on the beach, where you can observe humpbacks breaching (during breeding season) and just enjoy the view. All the staff are very professional and all the courses are run to an extremely high level. The dive sites are insanely beautiful filled with life and coral. There is a wonderful restaurant located right next to the shop with exceptional food and drink offerings. All the equipment is well maintained and all the staff are more than willing to answer any questions you have with a friendly smile on their face!

Divemaster Training

15.08.2019 by Caroline report

I’ve had the most amazing time doing my DMT at Tofo Scuba. The dive school is right on the beach, the staff are friendly and have been really supportive and the diving is amazing! We’ve seen humpbacks, whale sharks, mantas and just the sheer quantity of marine life is incredible! The on site restaurant and accommodation next door for customers makes it really convenient. There are deep dive sites for more advanced divers and shallow sites if you’re new. There’s also ocean safaris for non-divers! Can’t recommend this place enough :)

Best diveshop in Tofo!

10.06.2019 by Aggy report

I've spent almost 3 months at Tofo Scuba doing my divemaster training and all I can say it was the best decision ever! The location is just amazing (right at the beach), the divesites are stunning (whale sharks, manta rays and even humpbacks during breeding season), the staff is very professional and supportive which is extremely important, all the instructors and dms are very friendly and can answer all your questions. The equipment is well maintained and they offer an accommodation right beside the diveshop for customers if needed. There is also a restaurant which serves food from early morning till late evening, including a quiz night every Thursday. I'd recommend it to all kind of divers (entry level and advanced) and non divers (ocean safaris everyday).

Afrikanisch relaxed und perfekt organisiert

31.05.2019 by Frank report
