Certification in Diving

17.12.2016 by ricardo

A Certification is an attestation of the training, also called diving licenses. They are issued by the selected diving organisation or the diving instructor at the end of a successfully completed course.

The recognition of a certificate among the different diving organisation is not always guaranteed. Not all the diving licenses can be used internationally. Therefore, inform yourself in this matter before the corresponding training.

What kinds of Certification are on the market?

For example, there are so-called ISO and EN certifications. This guarantees an international comparability of the training content. Only courses that possess such a certification enjoy worldwide recognition. In our Wiki you can also inform yourself under the keyword Autonomous Diver (according to ISO), regarding which courses comply with the norm.

Last but not least, many diving schools make the group constellation and the diving site dependent on the respective level of training.
