The console for diving is a support where your instruments are fastened on.  For example, the compass, pressure gauge, diving computer or depth gauge are mounted on it. Depending on how many instruments you use, it can be bigger or smaller. While at first mainly a double-console with pressure gauge and depth gauge were used, nowadays also triple or quad are in use. In addition, you can accommodate the diving computer and the compass here as well. It is only important to choose a model that is seawater resistant when diving in the sea.

Where is the console mounted?

In most cases it is connected to your equipment via the tube of the pressure gauge. In order to avoid that the tube bends due to the weight, you can wrap the ends with bending protectors.
