HUB-Jacket is an abbreviation for Human Underwater Breathing Jacket. For diving this designates a special form of the buoyancy compensation jacket. Because in this jacket the tubes of the regulator (so compressed air cylinder and regulator), inflator and the necessary instruments such as the pressure gauge and diving computer are found within the jacket. As such no tubes hang freely on the outside, but are rather stored within the Jacket.

What advantages does a HUB-Jacket have?

Very clearly: Due to the tidied up cable inlet, you have less risk of entangling yourself in the tubes. In addition, you always have all important instruments, such as the regulator, readily available, should they slip from your hands. Moreover, the handling of the inflator is easier, because you can operate it via buttons on your jacket.
