The nose pocket is a part of your diving mask, more precisely your half-mask. It has an indentation at the nose made from a soft material, which surrounds the nose.

What sense does a nose pocket have?

It serves as pressure compensation under water above all. When you descend, you keep your nose closed with it and ensure the compensation in the throat area and the middle ear.
